Luke Coombs has over 15 years of experience in delivering tax services to business enterprises and individuals. He practices in the areas of federal, state and local and accounting for taxation for financial statement purposes and tax compliance.

Luke has consulted with companies in many industries, including insurance, manufacturing, retail, broadcast, real estate (and REITs), services, sports franchise and investment partnerships. His experience ranges from Fortune 300 companies to high net worth individuals.

Luke has expertise in tax planning, consulting and compliance. He also works extensively with large and small companies regarding Accounting for Income Taxes (FASB ASC 740) services, including implementing accounting for uncertain tax positions. For insurance companies, he has provided assistance relating
to SSAP 10 for statutory reporting purposes. He helps companies evaluate and plan acquisition structures and methods, and provides due diligence services.

Before joining WTAS, Luke was with an international professional services firm, where he helped develop FAS109 firmwide training and instructed both audit and tax training for the Mid-Atlantic Area.
