Pat Anderson

Pat Anderson has over 26 years of tax experience. A member of WTAS’ National Tax Group, she specializes in corporate taxation and tax-exempt organizations. Before joining WTAS, Pat was with several international professional services firms, primarily in those firms’ national tax offices representing clients before the IRS National Office. She has helped clients in thousands of private IRS ruling and technical advice requests involving a variety of technical issues, as well as in numerous exempt status determination requests.

Pat focuses on federal tax accounting methods and periods, including inventories and capitalization. She has consulted extensively on tax accounting issues that arise in restructuring, acquisition and sale transactions as well as on tax controversies with IRS. Pat often uses accounting method reviews as a tool for helping clients with tax planning, risk management and tax minimization. Pat has worked with clients in many industries including retail, financial services, manufacturing, utilities, telecommunications, professional services and entertainment. She also has consulted extensively on tax issues affecting tax-exempt organizations.

Pat is active in the tax accounting committees of the American Bar Association and the American Institute of CPAs. She has appeared as a speaker at Tax Executives Institute meetings and trade associations and has been a frequent panelist on tax accounting matters at American Bar Association meetings.
