Michael Smith has over 12 years of experience in providing tax consulting services to clients. He practices in the areas of Cost Segregation, Fixed Asset Reviews, Capital vs. Expense Reviews and Research Tax Credits.

Michael serves multinational and domestic companies in various industries, including financial services, retail, air and ground transportation, paper products, hospitality, food and beverage, heavy and light manufacturing, commercial rental property (including REITs), pharmaceutical, oil & gas production, utilities, chemical processing, electronics, information technology and broadcasting.

Before joining WTAS, Michael co-founded a firm that specialized in providing Research Tax Credit and Fixed Asset Review services to Fortune 100 and middle-market companies. Before that he spent 8 years with an international professional services firm, where he delivered large specialized tax projects to Fortune 100 and middle-market clients.
