Bob Kies has over 17 years of business and tax experience. He works with clients on all aspects of income, estate, gift and generation-skipping tax planning. His client base includes high net worth individuals and their families, owners of closely held businesses, founders and substantial shareholders of public companies, and private foundations.

Bob advises clients on a wide range of issues, including the structure and creation of partnerships, limited liability companies and S corporations, revocable and irrevocable grantor trusts, dynasty trusts, and charitable remainder trusts. Bob has reviewed and prepared estate and gift tax returns and private IRS ruling requests, and has helped clients resolve federal, state and local tax controversies.

Before joining WTAS, Bob was Chief Financial Officer for the Golden Boy organization and The Oscar De La Hoya Foundation, where he worked on a wide variety of projects, including a boxing promotions company, real estate joint ventures, sponsorship and endorsement deals, venture capital deals and charitable foundation activities. Before that, Bob spent eight years with an international professional services firm in its Private Client Services Practice.
