Kurt Brune, the Office Managing Director of WTAS’ Los Angeles office, has over 27 years of experience. His primary focus is on the tax and financial issues affecting high net worth families, their businesses and their investments. His clients include family offices, investors, owners of closely held businesses, founders and significant shareholders of public companies, trusts and private foundations. Kurt’s practice emphasizes comprehensive tax planning to multi-generational families to help them achieve their wealth preservation and philanthropic goals.

Before joining WTAS, Kurt was a Tax Partner in the Los Angeles Private Client Services Practice of an international professional services firm. He led the firm’s Private Foundation Services Practice for Southern California and was a member of the firm’s Center for Family Business. Previously, he was a member of the tax practice at another international professional services firm where his areas of practice included the tax and financial matters of high net worth individuals and private and public companies.

Kurt has written articles on taxation and has spoken at tax conferences sponsored by the University of Southern California Tax Institute, the American Institute of CPAs, the California Society of CPAs and the American Bar Association.
