Martin O’Malley, a member of WTAS’ founding Board of Directors and Office Managing Director of the firm’s Palo Alto office, has over 30 years of experience in taxation. He advises companies in various industries on a broad range of tax matters, including global structuring, joint ventures, capital formation, mergers and acquisitions, tax controversies and compliance. He helps entrepreneurs structure new and middle-market businesses and consults with large, complex companies.

Before joining WTAS, Martin was a Tax Partner with two international professional services firms, heading the Tax Division in Silicon Valley for one of those firms. He also led the High Technology Tax Practice Specialty Team at one of those firms.

Martin has lectured in the Santa Clara University MBA program and spoken to numerous organizations on international tax matters, including foreign tax credit planning and U.S. taxation of international business operations. He is a member of the Journal of International Taxation Board of Advisors, the Pacific Peninsula Group Advisory Board, and the Santa Clara University Accounting Advisory Board.
